The Residential Distributed Energy Program ("RDEP," "the program," "we," "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of program participants, website visitors, and others who interact with the program. Types of information may include name, address, telephone number, email address, home characteristics relevant to program eligibility, electricity usage information, and any other information provided during program interaction.

When visiting this website, certain information is collected automatically, including IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring website. This information is collected through standard web analytics tools and cookies.

Information from third parties

In connection with program eligibility and enrollment, we may receive information from third parties including retail electricity providers, transmission and distribution utilities, installer partners, and publicly available property records. Information received from third parties is used solely for program administration purposes.

SMS and Text Message Communications

RDEP may send SMS or text message communications to individuals who have provided a phone number and opted in to receive such communications. Types of messages sent may include appointment confirmations, appointment reminders, evaluation scheduling, enrollment updates, and other program-related communications.

Message frequency varies based on program interaction status. Message and data rates may apply.

Recipients may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message. Recipients may request help by replying HELP.

Phone numbers collected for SMS communications are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Sharing of Information

RDEP does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

Information is shared only in the following circumstances:

With installer partners

Information necessary for scheduled installations and service (typically name, address, contact information, and installation specifications) is shared with the specific installer assigned to a participant's residence.

With grid services providers

For residences enrolled in distributed storage participation, information necessary for grid services coordination may be shared with the relevant grid services provider.

With service providers

Third-party service providers who support program operations (such as email delivery services, form processing tools, hosting providers, and analytics providers) may access limited information as necessary to perform their services. These providers are obligated to protect information and use it only for the purposes for which it was disclosed.

As required by law

Information may be disclosed when required by legal process, government request, or applicable regulation.

In connection with program transitions

In the event of a program transition, merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, participant information may be transferred as part of that transition, subject to continued protection under this Privacy Policy.
